Job Requirements
- Hold a valid California Class B Driver's License
- maintain a driving record in accordance with local policies and procedures
- enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program if required
- be physically capable of standing, walking, and sitting for long periods
- have physical strength to lift a minimum of 150 lbs
- demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
- comply with UCLA Health's transportation and safety policies
Job Qualifications
- Must possess valid California Class B Driver's License
- knowledge of departmental policies and procedures for safe patient transport
- understanding of transportation policies and procedures
- ability to establish cooperative working relationships
- skill in listening and comprehending information received
- excellent communication skills using appropriate vocabulary and grammar
- ability to read and understand parking signs
- physical ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
- ability to transport patients safely and professionally
- interpersonal skills to interact diplomatically and sensitively with patients, staff, and visitors
- verbal and written communication skills using correct English grammar
- ability to perform physical lifting of at least 150 lbs using proper body mechanics
Job Duties
- Transport patients and visitors safely using shuttle bus between key UCLA Health facilities
- valet park vehicles for Medical Center patients, visitors, and faculty
- stack park staff vehicles
- maintain excellent customer service standards according to department policies
- issue ticket receipts after inspecting and documenting prior vehicle damage
- retrieve vehicles promptly to ensure efficient flow
- collect and secure cash and issue receipts
- record license plate, make of car, and exact parking location on valet ticket
- park vehicles in designated underground lot
- tag and store keys in key boxes
