The role of General Manager at Prince Waikiki is a pivotal leadership position reporting directly to the President of Prince Resorts Hawaii. This full-time opportunity offers a dynamic salary commensurate with experience and is ideal for seasoned professionals passionate about driving operational excellence in the hospitality industry. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the property’s operations, including the hotel and Hawaii Prince Golf Club, ensuring that the resort meets and exceeds key performance metrics such as top-line revenue growth, profitability, guest satisfaction, employee engagement, sales and marketing effectiveness, and property appearance.
This position demands a strategic thinker with a comprehensive skill set capable of leading diverse teams, navigating complex financial landscapes, and enhancing the overall guest experience. The General Manager will champion company standards and foster a culture of accountability and productivity while developing and executing business strategies aligned with ownership’s objectives. A key part of the role includes hands-on management of financial planning, budget preparation, labor cost control, sales and marketing initiatives, and community engagement. Job Requirements

- ability to be mobile throughout the hotel, property, and ability to lift to 25 lbs occasionally

- full-time hours with flexible availability and ability to work varied days and hours
- bachelor's degree or master's degree in Business Administration, TIM preferred, or ten years related hospitality management experience

- minimum of ten years of related hospitality management experience
- strong strategic planning and business acumen
- proven leadership and team development skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to handle stressful and confrontational situations professionally
- working knowledge of hotel operations including Reservations, Sales, Marketing, Rooms, Food and Beverage, Accounting, Golf Operations, Security, and Engineering
- proficiency with office equipment and software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Job Duties
- Demonstrates and promotes a commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and employees
- works with shareholder representatives to achieve goals and objectives of ownership
- develops and implements a strategic and tactical business plan to attain key goals and objectives
- ensure repairs, safety issues, cleanliness, and general upkeep of the property are promptly addressed and handle guest complaints with the Hotel Manager and Hotel Assistant Managers
- organizes detailed information, delegates assignments, prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines
- serves as a representative of the Company in community and public events
- performs all other duties and completes projects as assigned by the President including financial management, sales, guest satisfaction, employee management, and other operational areas
