The Bakery Team Lead position is crucial within the bakery department, tasked with assisting the bakery manager in overseeing daily operations. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with merchandising, sanitation, and company policies to maintain a clean and appealing work area adhering to 5S efficiency standards. The team lead directly oversees product quality and availability to maximize sales potential and customer satisfaction. The individual will take command in the absence of the bakery manager, maintaining smooth department operations and managing inventory control processes including freezer, cooler, backroom supplies, and Deco Pac products.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives
  • physically able to work in a hot environment for 5-8 hours
  • able to stand and walk for 5-8 hours
  • able to squat or kneel frequently for 3-5 hours
  • able to bend, twist or pivot frequently for 3-5 hours
  • capable of lifting up to 50-100lbs occasionally and pushing or pulling up to 2400lbs occasionally
  • adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • able to work in a retail bakery environment
