The available position of Press Machine Operator Assistant is critical in supporting the press operator in various machine-related tasks. Responsibilities include assisting with machine setup, loading materials, adjusting settings, and ensuring a smooth flow of raw materials or components specific to the press machine. The role involves continuous monitoring of operations to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency, with timely communication of any issues to supervisors. Routine maintenance activities such as cleaning, lubricating, and part replacement are also part of the job to keep the machine operating optimally. Changeover assistance and setting print and registration are essential functions, along with accurate paperwork completion. This role demands flexibility, as the assistant must be capable of performing the press assistant duties as required.

This full-time position offers a competitive wage starting at $21.20 per hour dependent on experience, plus a $1.50 night shift differential. The job follows an outstanding 2-2-3 schedule, providing employees with more days off compared to traditional schedules. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • work directly with the press operator
  • assists with machine setup, prepares machinery for operation by setting up tools, loading materials, and adjusting settings as directed by the primary operator
  • supplies raw material or component specific to the press machine as needed, ensuring a steady flow of materials to maintain efficient production levels
  • monitors press machine operations, observes the machine during operation to ensure the machine is running as expected, notifying the primary operator or supervisor of any issues or malfunctions
  • assists with routine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, or replacing parts, adjusting machine settings, or other standard practices to ensure proper operation of the machine and to maintain quality, efficiency, and safety standards
  • able to assist in changeovers done in a timely manner
  • able to assist in set print and registration
  • able to fill out paperwork accurately and correctly
  • must be able to perform the duties of the press assistant as needed
