This iconic property features 238 guest rooms and over 160,000 square feet of meeting and event space, making it one of the most unique and dynamic settings for hospitality professionals. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bar Back to join our dynamic team at The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa. This role is vital for the seamless operation of our bar services and demands an energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting. As the Bar Back, you will support bartenders and servers by maintaining an organized, clean, and well-stocked bar area. Your duties will include replenishing liquor, beer, and wine inventory, ensuring that the bar is properly set up, assisting in the preparation and storage of garnishes and perishables, and contributing to the overall guest experience with an engaging and positive attitude.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry 25 lbs
  • Prior experience in a hospitality or bar setting preferred
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Greet guests as they arrive or move about the bar area
  • Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
  • Assist the bartenders in securing requisitioned liquor, beer and wine
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area, to include ensuring clean glasses are stocked
  • Be the master of the bar, understanding the details of the operation
  • Work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
  • Assist with maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
