Job Description

Cadence Education is a leading provider of early childhood education with a strong commitment to nurturing bright futures for children, families, employees, and communities. With over 340 schools across 30 states and more than 30 years of experience, Cadence Education prides itself on delivering an innovative curriculum within warm, home-like environments. This combination forms the secret sauce behind their success in preparing young learners for lifelong achievement. The company’s culture emphasizes open communication, teamwork, and a shared passion for child development, providing a supportive and collaborative atmosphere for all employees. As a pioneer in early education, Cadence Education is not just a preschool but a vibrant community dedicated to the growth and well-being of children.

The role of Preschool Cook at Cadence Education offers a unique opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about working with kids and contributing to their development via nutritious and appetizing meals. This is a full-time position with competitive hourly rates ranging from $15.79 to $18.79, reflecting the importance of this role in fostering the health and energy of preschoolers. As a Preschool Cook, you will create kid-approved meals and snacks that ensure every child is fueled for their daily adventures, blending nutrition, taste, and dietary guidelines to support the growth and learning of young children.

Beyond meal preparation, this role involves managing kitchen cleanliness, organizing food and supply storage, serving meals to classrooms, and coordinating additional duties such as dishwashing, laundry, and sanitizing toys and equipment to maintain a safe environment. This position demands energy, a positive attitude, and a keen attention to detail, as some lifting and physical activity are involved. Cadence Education values the contribution of its cooks as vital to the overall experience children receive, recognizing that a well-nourished child is more engaged and ready to explore.

At Cadence, you will join a tight-knit team that values work-life balance, offers professional growth opportunities including paid Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials, tuition reimbursement, and ongoing professional development. Employees also enjoy extensive benefits such as health, dental, vision, and even pet insurance, paid time off that increases with seniority, paid holidays, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and a 50% childcare tuition discount for your own children. This role at Cadence Education represents not only a job but an opportunity to make a lasting impact on young lives while growing your culinary career in a supportive and rewarding environment.
