Job Description

The Learning Experience is a renowned early education and childcare provider dedicated to nurturing young minds in a safe and enriching environment. With a strong commitment to excellence in education and care, The Learning Experience focuses on providing quality programming that supports the developmental needs of preschool children. The organization operates numerous learning centers nationwide, fostering an inclusive community where children, families, and staff thrive together. Their holistic approach integrates play, discovery, and structured learning, while emphasizing the importance of nutrition, safety, and positive interactions.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Cook to join our team on a part-time basis, working from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about working with preschool children and understands the crucial impact that nutritious meals can have on their growth and development. As a Preschool Cook at The Learning Experience, you will play an essential role in preparing well-balanced meals that meet the specific dietary and nutritional needs of young children. Your responsibilities will extend beyond cooking to include maintaining precise records of food allergies and collaborating closely with staff to ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your contributions will directly support the health and well-being of the children served, helping create a positive, enriching environment where they can flourish.

In this role, you will be expected to plan menus, prepare, and cook meals that are both healthy and appealing, adhering strictly to nutritional guidelines tailored to preschoolers. A key aspect of the position involves tracking and managing food allergies to protect the children’s safety and communicating any allergy concerns promptly to the teaching staff. The role requires adherence to rigorous food safety practices, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation procedures to meet regulatory requirements.

Collaboration is a vital component of this role, as you will work alongside the Center Leadership team to order food and supplies, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with local and state standards. Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, positive attitude are essential as you interact daily with parents and children, fostering trust and confidence in the care provided.

This position offers a competitive salary along with valuable benefits such as holiday pay, a 401(k) plan, free uniforms, and training and development opportunities. If you are motivated to contribute to a meaningful mission of educating and caring for young children, The Learning Experience invites you to apply and become part of a supportive and vibrant team focused on nurturing the next generation.
