The role of the Auto Body Refinish Prepper at Gerber Collision & Glass is critical to ensuring customer vehicles are restored to pre-accident condition with a high-quality finish. This position involves preparing vehicles thoroughly by sanding, masking, priming, and applying all necessary coatings, including primers, sealers, basecoats, color coats, and clear coats. The Auto Body Refinish Prepper plays a vital role in the restoration process by completing anti-corrosion treatments, identifying substrates, mixing products accurately, and working closely with technicians to deliver outstanding results. The position requires a keen eye to evaluate bodywork, ensuring the prep is completed to quality standards and aligned with insurance guidelines and facility protocols.

  • minimum 1 year of auto body refinishing or prep experience
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • physical ability to perform sanding and masking tasks
  • valid work authorization
