Job Description

Brassica is a pioneering fast-casual restaurant dedicated to redefining what fast food means by focusing on fresh, local, and heartfelt food. Situated in Ohio, Brassica prides itself on sourcing ingredients from over 20 local growers and producers, ensuring that every dish served is made from scratch and packed with quality and flavor. This commitment to local sourcing supports regional agriculture and brings a unique, artisanal touch to the dining experience. Brassica is more than just a restaurant; it is a community hub where food brings people together, creating memorable moments with each meal shared.

As a team member at Brassica, you become an integral part of a close-knit family that values craftsmanship, quality, and sustainability. Working here goes beyond the conventional job experience. It is an opportunity to learn, grow, and develop real culinary skills in a professional kitchen environment that encourages collaboration and positivity. Whether you are new to the kitchen or an experienced cook, Brassica offers you the platform to hone your abilities while being part of a team that is passionate about delivering food crafted with care and purpose.

The role of the line and prep cook at Brassica is dynamic, challenging, and rewarding. You will be responsible for creating and serving some of the community's favorite signature sandwiches and salads made entirely from scratch. Your work will involve meticulous attention to detail, from ingredient preparation to maintaining a clean, efficient workspace. The kitchen environment is fast-paced and energetic, requiring you to be on your feet for extended periods and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

In addition to hands-on cooking, you will be trained thoroughly in all aspects of food preparation and service, ensuring that every guest's experience is exceptional. Brassica emphasizes consistency and quality through best-known methods that guide every aspect of the job, from cooking and plating to guest interaction and cleaning protocols. Punctuality, professionalism, and teamwork are critical components of success in this role.

Joining Brassica also means enjoying robust benefits that support your health, well-being, and work-life balance. These include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid vacation, healthy lifestyle reimbursements, and a free meal with every shift. The restaurant believes in rewarding hard work and offering continuous opportunities for employees to grow and challenge themselves in a supportive environment.

If you are passionate about real, local, organic ingredients, excited to work in a restaurant recognized by Yelp as one of the top places to eat in the Midwest, and motivated to develop your culinary skills with a team that feels like family, Brassica invites you to apply and become a vital part of their food community.
