Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • standing or walking for 6-8 hours a day
  • ability to use single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • able to bend, twist, squat, and reach
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • ability to work in temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • able to work in wet and dry conditions
  • flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and ladders
  • no prior retail experience required

Job Duties

  • Performs all functions related to preparation, counter service, sanitation, and stocking of products
  • ensures all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
  • assists with production for all Prepared Foods venues
  • documents waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
  • ensures product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation
  • helps customers understand the difference between WFM products and products at conventional stores
  • ensures that walk-ins and freezers are kept clean and well-organized
