The Prepared Foods Team Member role involves assisting in the production of all prepared foods venues, ensuring all products are properly labeled, dated, covered, and rotated to meet quality and food safety standards. Attention to detail in following recipes and using measuring devices correctly is critical, as is managing waste and spoilage documentation to maintain departmental profitability. This role also includes maintaining the cleanliness and organization of storage areas such as walk-ins and freezers. Team Members must be punctual, appropriately groomed, and ready to work each shift. Excellent customer service skills are vital, including the ability to explain the difference between Whole Foods Market products and conventional store offerings, effectively answering customer queries, and employing suggestive selling techniques.

The position requires working under various physical conditions, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and handle various equipment safely, such as knives, box cutters, and pallet jacks. The work environment can range in temperature from freezing to warm, and flexibility with work schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is necessary.
