The position being offered is within the Prepared Foods team, a dynamic role that provides essential support in food preparation, counter service, sanitation, and stocking of products. The role requires responsibility and flexibility, as team members are expected to perform a variety of duties and assist in various parts of the Prepared Foods department. A keen attention to detail is crucial, as employees will be handling fresh foods, maintaining proper sanitation, and following safety guidelines to provide high-quality products.

The wage range for this position ranges from $18.50 to $25.40 per hour, commensurate with experience. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of hot and cold foods including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, and pizza
  • samples products to customers
  • stocks hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods from kitchen, walk-in preparation, and refrigerators
  • checks in-stock product dates to ensure freshness and rotates when necessary
  • bails and consolidates recyclables
  • assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items
  • completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required
  • assists with periodic inventory checks
  • arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
  • provides excellent customer service and models suggestive selling techniques
  • maximizes sales potential through effective prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising
  • follows health and sanitation procedures and safe work practices
  • maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
  • performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
  • immediately reports safety hazards and violations
