This particular role is within the Prepared Foods team, a dynamic and integral part of the store responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving a variety of high-quality prepared foods to customers. The position requires a hands-on approach to all aspects of food preparation including cutting, serving, stocking, and sanitation procedures. Members in this role are expected to uphold the brand's commitment to exceptional customer service, food safety, and operational excellence. Employment in this role is hourly, with wages ranging from $19.00 to $25.40 per hour, commensurate with experience. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • able to stand or walk 6-8 hours per day
  • able to use hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • capable of bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
  • able to work with FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • able to work in cold and hot temperature conditions
  • able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • able to safely use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters and pallet jacks
  • may require use of ladders

Job Duties

  • Cuts and prepares a variety of hot and cold foods including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, and pizza
  • samples products to customers
  • stocks hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods
  • checks in-stock product dates for freshness and rotates stock as necessary
  • bails and consolidates recyclables
  • assists team leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items
  • completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required
  • assists with inventory checks
  • arrives to work on time, groomed and ready to perform tasks
  • provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques
  • maintains compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations
  • performs opening, mid, and closing duties including pricing accuracy
  • immediately reports hazards and violations
