The role is part of the Prepared Foods team and involves a wide range of responsibilities including preparing, stocking, and serving hot and cold food items such as meats, cheeses, sandwiches, wraps, salads, and pizza. Team Members are expected to provide excellent customer service, maintain cleanliness, and work collaboratively with other team members to support store operations. Typical job functions include sampling products to customers, rotating stock to ensure freshness, managing inventory accuracy, and following established procedures related to health, safety, and Weights and Measures. The position requires working on the floor to engage with customers actively and contribute dynamically to team efforts. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of hot and cold foods including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, and pizza
  • samples products to customers
  • stocks hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods
  • checks in-stock product dates to ensure freshness and rotates when necessary
  • bails and consolidates recyclables
  • assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items
  • completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets
  • assists with periodic inventory checks
  • arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
  • provides excellent customer service and addresses customer needs in a timely manner
  • maximizes sales potential through effective prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
  • follows and ensures compliance with established procedures including health and sanitation
  • maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
  • performs opening, mid, and closing duties
  • immediately reports safety hazards and violations
