The role in focus is the leadership position for the Prepared Foods team, responsible for overseeing all facets of daily operational management including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor management, regulatory compliance, and special projects. The person in this role will be accountable for hiring processes, team development, corrective actions, and separations, ensuring that all team members comply with company standards and regulatory requirements. This salaried position offers a wage range of $26.10 to $43.07 per hour, commensurate with experience. Job Requirements
- 24 plus months retail experience including 12 plus months of team leadership experience
- ability to lift 50 pounds
- standing or walking for 6 to 8 hours during an 8-hour workday
- hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- ability to work in freezing, refrigerated, and hot temperature environments
- ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders
Job Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management
- food safety certification or commitment to achieve within 6 months
- excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills
- capability to teach others positively and constructively
- advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures
- proficient mathematical skills for financial assessments and inventory management
- demonstrated decision-making ability and leadership skills
- proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications
