The role of Prepared Foods Team Leader at Metropolitan Market is a vital leadership position within the store’s hierarchy. The team leader will be responsible for a broad spectrum of duties, including product management, merchandising displays, sales management, inventory control, and providing legendary guest service in a fast-paced store environment. This role reports to senior store management and serves as a key driver in meeting sales goals, maintaining departmental budgets, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Specific responsibilities include ordering all products, leading product promotions, scheduling team members, training, coaching, and counseling employees. Additionally, the Prepared Foods Team Leader must effectively manage financial targets such as gross profit, labor, and supply budgets, and uphold high standards in product aesthetics and quality. This hands-on leadership position also involves working directly as a Journeyperson Prepared Foods Team Member when necessary, demonstrating a team-oriented approach. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of five years’ supervisory experience, proven culinary and merchandising creativity, and strong organizational and time management skills to ensure the department’s smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
