Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand or walk 6-8 hours per shift
  • Capable of using tools such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • Ability to perform physical motions including bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching

Job Duties

  • Assists with production for all prepared foods venues
  • Ensures all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
  • Ensures product meets Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation
  • Documents waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
  • Ensures product production is performed using correct measuring devices and recipes are followed
  • Helps customers understand the difference between Whole Foods Market products and conventional stores
  • Ensures walk-ins and freezers are kept clean and well-organized
  • Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
  • Provides excellent customer service and models suggestive selling techniques
  • Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising of products
  • Follows and complies with established procedures including health and safety regulations
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
  • Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
  • Reports safety hazards and violations immediately
