Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand or walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
  • Capability to perform hand movements including grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach repeatedly during work
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience using tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery
  • Must be appropriately groomed and dressed
  • Ability to comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow directions and manage time effectively
  • Passion for natural foods and health
  • Previous experience in retail or food service is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Assists with production for all prepared foods venues
  • Ensures all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
  • Ensures product meets Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation
  • Documents waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
  • Ensures product production is performed using correct measuring devices and all recipes are followed
  • Helps customers understand the difference between Whole Foods Market products and products at conventional stores
  • Ensures that walk-ins and freezers are kept clean and well-organized
