With a strong commitment to sustainability, social responsibility, and community engagement, Whole Foods Market strives to create meaningful change not only within the communities it serves but also globally. The company focuses on various initiatives such as funding grants for school gardens, alleviating poverty in developing countries, and improving access to nutritious food in under-served food deserts. Working at Whole Foods Market means being part of a mission-driven organization that values personal growth, teamwork, and excellence.

They must manage spoilage and shrinkage, achieve turnover goals, participate in inventory counts, and assist with counter service and cooking when needed.

Collaboration is essential, as the role requires interaction with kitchen managers, chefs, team leaders, and vendors to ensure seamless operations and cost control for recipes. The person will oversee special customer order procedures, support leadership during inventories, and maintain profitability by meeting or exceeding purchasing and sales targets. Excellent customer service, suggestive selling, and responsiveness to customer needs are critical elements of this role.

Team members must adhere to Whole Foods Market’s quality, health, and safety standards, including compliance with food safety regulations. The role includes the responsibility to ensure a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment, maintain equipment, and perform opening, mid, and closing duties. Additionally, this role requires the ability to communicate effectively within the team and with customers, suppliers, and vendors, promoting a positive image for the company. The position requires working in a fast-paced environment, managing time effectively, and demonstrating a strong work ethic aligned with the company’s values and mission.

This position offers an hourly wage range of $18.50 to $30.20, depending on experience. Whole Foods Market provides extensive benefits that support financial wellness, health and wellness programs, paid time off, store discounts, and other perks for full and part-time team members.
