Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years managing food service operations
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times a day
  • Willingness to stand and walk extensively during shifts
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to train and develop team members

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Culinary or hospitality diploma is a plus
  • Over two years of experience managing food service operations preferred three to five in similar settings
  • Strong understanding of food safety, cooking techniques, and portion control
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
  • Experience in budget management and cost control
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coach staff in the kitchen, juice bar, and deli covering both front and back of house
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and discipline team members to maintain high performance and morale
  • Create a positive culture by recognizing achievements, giving constructive feedback, and leading from the front
  • Ensure food prep meets portioning, plating, and presentation standards
  • Manage inventory, place orders, minimize waste, and control food cost
  • Maintain sanitation, safety, and health regulations ensuring compliance and preparing for health inspections
  • Oversee departmental budgets, control labor expenses, and analyze financial variances
  • Maintain payroll records and POS transaction reviews
  • Build strong vendor relationships and manage service or maintenance requests efficiently
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during customer issues resolving complaints personally and promptly
  • Foster customer rapport by learning regulars by name and creating a welcoming atmosphere
