This role centers on performing all duties related to dishwashing and maintaining the general cleanliness of the kitchen area within Whole Foods Market retail locations. The position ensures positive company representation through courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members alike. Performing these duties requires adherence to standardized operating procedures, compliance with health and safety regulations including Food Safety standards, and support of Whole Foods Market's core values and goals. As part of the team, you will assist not only with dishwashing but also the organization and rotation of kitchen products, maintaining cleanliness in diverse kitchen areas such as floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves, and supporting smooth kitchen operations through timely execution of assigned tasks. You will also be involved in customer service activities, including engaging with customers to address their needs effectively and professionally, handling phone calls and pages courteously, and supporting sales efforts through suggestive selling techniques. Team Members in this role are expected to maintain equipment as per cleanliness and safety standards and abide by weight, health, and sanitation protocols at all times. This role demands punctuality, readiness to work scheduled shifts, participation in required training sessions and meetings, and the ability to perform duties that support the overall mission of Whole Foods Market.
The position offers a competitive hourly wage range of $17.00 to $25.40, dependent upon experience, alongside access to Whole Benefits. Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing and walking 6-8 hours during an 8-hour shift
- hand use includes single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- work requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders

Job Duties
- Washes, rinses, and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares
- maintains cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area
- assists with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products
- arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings
- provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques
- answers phones and pages promptly and courteously
- maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
- follows and complies, or ensures compliance, with established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- maintains equipment in accordance with cleanliness and safety standards
- performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- ensures accuracy of signs and pricing
- immediately reports safety hazards and violations
