They also contribute to maximizing sales potential through proper product handling and supporting in-store programs and initiatives. Whole Foods Market values team members who arrive prepared and dressed appropriately for work, attend required training sessions and meetings, and adhere to safety regulations by immediately reporting hazards or violations.
Physical requirements for this position include the capability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for 6 to 8 hours during an 8-hour workday, and perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. The work environment may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Flexible scheduling is essential, including night, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed. Dishwashers also use various tools and equipment essential to their duties, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and potentially ladders.
