The role of the Dishwasher is an essential part of the Whole Foods Market Retail team. This position involves performing all duties related to dishwashing and maintaining the general cleanliness of the kitchen area. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, including food safety regulations. Dishwashers are expected to adhere strictly to team and store Standard Operating Procedures while also being prepared to assist with tasks related to other Team Member roles as needed. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring strong work ethic, passion for cleanliness, and the ability to manage time efficiently. This hourly position offers a competitive wage ranging from $15.00 to $24.40, commensurate with experience. Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing or walking for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
- hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures around 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders

Job Duties
- Washes, rinses, and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares
- maintains cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area
- assists with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products
- arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques
- maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
- follows and complies with established procedures including health and sanitation rules
- maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment, maintains equipment according to cleanliness and safety standards
- performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned including ensuring accuracy of signs and pricing
- immediately reports safety hazards and violations
- performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership
