This particular role is focused on supporting the Prepared Foods team within the store. The position includes assisting with scheduling and supervising team members, maintaining the smooth day-to-day flow of the department, and overseeing the quality and presentation of Prepared Foods, coffee, and juice displays. The role works closely with the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader to ensure operational excellence. Success in this role contributes directly to customer satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness, freshness, and compliance with food safety and health regulations. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • standing and walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
  • hand use including grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • ability to bend, twist, squat and reach
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to use knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks and other heavy machinery
  • may require use of ladders

  • Extensive knowledge of Prepared Foods team procedures and policies
  • strong organizational and time management skills

  • product knowledge
  • advanced regulatory and safety policy knowledge
  • proficient mathematical skills for financial and inventory management
  • demonstrated decision-making and leadership ability
  • proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations applications
  • minimum 12 months retail experience

Job Duties

  • Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members
  • works with Prepared Foods Trainer to train Team Members and minimize turnover
  • assists in training new Team Members using checklists and training materials
  • keeps cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated
  • opens and closes department according to procedures
  • ensures all necessary breaks are given
  • communicates team concerns to Team Leader and Associate Team Leader
  • sets and achieves high standards of retail execution
  • fosters positive teamwork, mutual respect and morale
  • maintains awareness of customer flows and directs team to satisfy customer needs
  • selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates and counsels Team Members
  • provides timely performance evaluations
  • consistently communicates and models company vision and goals
