Whole Foods Market has set industry standards for excellence, sustainability, and innovation in retail food shopping, offering a workplace where personal growth and meaningful change are deeply valued. The organization fosters a culture that emphasizes core values like teamwork, respect, and exceptional customer service, driving the company’s vision of creating a positive impact not only within local communities but also on a global scale.
The Team Leader role at Whole Foods Market is a key position responsible for assisting in the operational leadership of daily store functions, including profitability management, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor coordination, regulatory compliance, and special projects. This role involves leading and developing team members to consistently deliver outstanding service while maintaining a positive company image. In the absence of the Team Leader, this position acts as the departmental point person, ensuring smooth execution of store standards. This role demands a high level of product knowledge, vendor relations expertise, and the ability to analyze sales reports and labor data to meet targets. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership qualities, including mentoring, motivating, and counseling team members to build a high-performance team with low turnover. The Team Leader also plays a vital role in fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment aligned with Whole Foods Market’s core values. The wage range for this hourly position is $20.05 to $35.00, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers comprehensive benefits under its "Whole Benefits" program, including store discounts, paid time off, financial wellness support, and health and wellness programs, applicable to both full and part-time team members depending on eligibility and job type.
