This position is for an Assistant Team Leader, a pivotal role within the Whole Foods Market retail store environment. The role entails supporting the Team Leader in all facets of daily store operations, ensuring that goals related to profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, and labor management are met effectively. Additionally, the Assistant Team Leader will undertake regulatory compliance duties and special projects when assigned. The Assistant Team Leader acts as a crucial point person in the absence of the Team Leader, taking charge of the department to ensure seamless operations.

Physical requirements for this position include the ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds, stand or walk extensively during an eight-hour shift, and perform various motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. Exposure to different temperature ranges common in retail grocery environments and handling cleaning chemicals is part of the working conditions. Flexibility in scheduling, including working nights, weekends, and holidays, is also necessary.

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $20.05 to $35.00, commensurate with experience.
