The Prepared Food Cook position at Fresco y Mas plays a critical role in maintaining the company's standards for quality and customer service in the deli and bakery departments. This role involves preparing and cooking a variety of fresh deli and bakery food items as directed by the Department Manager. Beyond cooking, the Prepared Food Cook supports department operations by efficiently managing kitchen equipment and adhering to safety and sanitation regulations. The position requires standing and walking on various surfaces such as tile and concrete, frequently lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds, and occasionally performing other physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing, smelling, and repetitive hand and foot movements. The environment can be cold and hot, indoors and outdoors, with exposure to wet or humid conditions. This physicality underpins the demanding nature of the role, making it vital for candidates to be physically prepared and safety-conscious.

Working in varied schedules including day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, the Prepared Food Cook must be flexible and reliable.
