Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least one year of kitchen experience preferred
- ability to work 8 plus hours on feet
- strong communication skills
- ability to grasp and reach overhead
- ability to lift, move, and carry 50 plus pounds
- flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
- willingness to adhere to sanitation and safety standards
- physical ability to perform kitchen tasks

Job Duties
- follow prep lists created by chefs
- label and stock all cooking ingredients
- complete all tasks on the prep list from the kitchen manager
- wash, chop, and sort ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats
- measure quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients
- adhere to nutrition and sanitary regulations
- track ingredient inventory and collaborate with staff
- ensure food items are stored properly
- supervise food and cooling room temperatures
- maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen
- assist chefs in preparing food and attend to culinary tasks
- execute cooking techniques under direction of chefs
- prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
- prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, weighing, measuring, and mixing
- operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
- ensure correctness of appliance and food temperatures
- set up and break down workstation
- wash and disinfect kitchen areas and tools
- follow safety and security policies
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation in dish area
- manage dish machine and kitchen cleanliness
- keep clean supply of dishware, glassware, silverware, and utensils throughout shifts
- thrive in fast-paced work environment
