Job Duties
- follow prep lists created by chefs
- label and stock all cooking ingredients
- complete all tasks in order on the prep list from the head chef or kitchen manager
- wash chop and sort ingredients like fruits vegetables and meats
- measure quantities of seasonings and cooking ingredients
- adhere to nutrition and sanitary standards
- keep track of ingredient inventory and collaborate with kitchen staff to order resupply
- learn cooking methods and techniques employed in the kitchen
- ensure all food items are properly stored
- supervise food and cooling room temperatures
- maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen
- assist chefs in food preparation and culinary tasks
- execute techniques under the direction of sous chef and executive chef
- prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
- operate ovens stoves grills fryers and other kitchen equipment
- set up and break down workstation for shifts
- wash and disinfect kitchen tables tools knives and equipment
- follow all safety and security policies
- ensure adherence to quality expectations
- properly care for and maintain dish machine
- keep clean supply of dishware glassware silverware utensils and cookware
- thrive in fast paced work environment while adhering to cleanliness and sanitation standards
- perform other duties as assigned
