Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year experience in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Ability to stand for 8+ hours
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical capability to lift, move, and carry over 50 pounds
  • Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Passion for cooking and food quality
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Knowledge of nutrition and food safety regulations
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Physical ability to lift and move 50+ pounds

Job Duties

  • Follow prep lists created by chefs
  • Label and stock all cooking ingredients
  • Complete tasks on prep lists in order
  • Wash, chop, and sort ingredients
  • Measure quantities of seasonings and other ingredients
  • Adhere to nutrition and sanitary regulations
  • Keep track of ingredient inventory
  • Collaborate with kitchen and management staff to order supplies
  • Supervise food and cooling room temperatures
  • Maintain clean and sanitized kitchen
  • Assist chefs with food preparation
  • Execute cooking techniques under direction of Sous Chef and Executive Chef
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, and fryers
  • Set up and break down workstations
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen tools, equipment, and tables
  • Follow safety and security policies
  • Care for and maintain dish machines
  • Maintain supply of dishware, glassware, and utensils
  • Thrive in fast-paced kitchen environment while upholding cleanliness and sanitation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
