- Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety standards
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs and work on feet for 8+ hours
- Basic understanding of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment operation

Job Duties
- Follow prep lists created by chefs
- Label and stock all cooking ingredients
- Complete all tasks in order on the prep list from the Head Chef or kitchen manager
- Wash, chop, and sort ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats
- Measure quantities of seasonings and cooking ingredients
- Adhere to nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards
- Keep track of ingredient inventory and collaborate with kitchen staff to order resupply
- Learn about cooking methods and techniques
- Ensure food items are properly stored and accessible
- Supervise food and cooling room temperatures
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen
- Assist chefs in preparing food and culinary tasks
- Execute techniques under the direction of Sous Chef and Executive Chef
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, weighing, measuring, and mixing
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment
- Ensure correct temperature of appliances and food
- Set up and break down workstation for shifts
- Wash and disinfect kitchen, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
- Follow company safety and security policies and procedures
- Responsible for proper care and maintenance of dish machine
- Keep clean supply of dishware, glassware, silverware, utensils, and cookware
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while adhering to cleanliness and sanitation standards
