Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience, catering preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation and food service
  • Ability to read and execute instructions and production sheets
  • Capability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Adherence to company uniform requirements
  • Non-slip shoes required
  • Ability to stand and move for prolonged periods
  • Manual dexterity to operate kitchen utensils and tools
  • Ability to work event attendance, prep, setup and breakdown duties

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a kitchen, catering experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation and food service
  • Strong understanding of execution of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), reading production sheets and completing tasks
  • Ability to produce a consistent product in a timely manner
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong planning and multi-tasking abilities
  • Self-motivated with a high energy level
  • Effective verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Setting up and sanitizing workstations
  • Following prep lists created by lead culinary
  • Measuring ingredients and seasonings and preparing cooking ingredients such as soup stock to be used in the cooking process
  • Preparing dishes as directed by the Executive Chef
  • Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible
  • Assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise
  • Supervising food and cooling room temperatures
