The Prep Cook/Dishwasher position at NARA NW is based at its Adult Residential facility located at 17645 NW Saint Helens Hwy, Portland, OR. This in-person role is scheduled from Sunday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, offering an hourly wage range of $21.00 to $23.10. It is a non-exempt position that emphasizes teamwork and a commitment to upholding the organization’s high standards of cleanliness and food safety. In this role, the primary responsibility is handling dishwashing duties to ensure all dishes and kitchen equipment meet cleanliness standards. Once these duties are completed, the prep cook assists with food preparation and may also help serve cafeteria-style meals to up to 70 clients. Beyond cleaning and food prep, the role involves maintaining kitchen inventory and supplies, attending facility meetings, and participating in training classes. The successful candidate will embody professionalism, respect, and collaboration, ensuring a positive environment for clients and team members.
