The Prep Cook position within the Food and Beverage department at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a pivotal role responsible for supporting the culinary team across multiple dining venues, including Café 6311, Off-Piste Market, Rendezvous Alpine Kitchen, Casper Restaurant, Tram Dock, Piste Mountain Bistro, and Trapper's Restaurant. This full-time, winter seasonal role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for quality food preparation. The Prep Cook will handle a variety of kitchen tasks such as preparing ingredients, assisting with food storage, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and occasionally supporting line cooks and dishwashing duties as needed. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous food preparation or kitchen experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

  • Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform kitchen tasks

Job Duties

  • Prepares meal ingredients as directed by the head chef, senior chef, or other staff
  • Prepares fresh produce by peeling, cutting, and portioning
  • Prepares meat by trimming, cutting, and portioning
  • Prepares simple dishes such as soups, chilis, or salads
  • Mixes or prepares condiments, dressings, and sauces
  • Maintains compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards
  • Restocks salad bars, grab and go shelves, condiments, and other service areas
  • Ensures work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation
  • Takes out trash and recycling throughout service and at the end of service
  • Assists with unloading, inspection, and storage of raw ingredients and supplies
  • Ensures kitchen and back of house areas are cleaned before and after service
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Works as a dishwasher as needed
  • Cooks on the line as needed
  • Assists F&B Warehouse Stewards with unpacking and restocking food supplies
