The Prep Cook role at Crystal Mountain is a vital position within the Food & Beverage Business Unit, reporting directly to the Executive Sous Chef and Lead Cook. This seasonal, housing-eligible position offers a pay range of $21 to $22 per hour and involves maintaining high standards of safety, food quality, and kitchen cleanliness. The Prep Cook plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Washington State Health and Liquor Department regulations while preparing ingredients and supporting culinary operations. The role requires basic knife skills, prior kitchen experience, and a strong knowledge of food safety guidelines. The candidate should have an excellent palate, general food knowledge, and the ability to maintain a clean, well-stocked cooking station throughout service hours. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential, along with physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform various manual tasks. The Prep Cook also assists with closing duties and prepping for the next day, contributing to a smooth and efficient kitchen environment in a fast-paced, mountain resort setting. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a kitchen or food preparation role
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally
- Good manual dexterity
- Visual and auditory acuity
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to communicate effectively

- Adheres to safety, sanitation, food preparation, food storage and alcohol beverage control policies
