Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group began as a modest eatery nestled in New Orleans' vibrant Mid-City neighborhood and has since blossomed into a thriving hospitality enterprise. With two distinctive brands, Ruby Slipper and Ruby Sunshine, the group proudly operates over 20 locations throughout the Southeastern United States, continuously expanding its footprint. The company brings the rich culinary heritage and lively spirit of New Orleans to the brunch scene, establishing itself as a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike. The focus on breakfast and lunch-only service enhances the unique all-day brunch experience, allowing employees to enjoy a balanced work-life schedule with daytime shifts exclusively.
The role available at Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group is integral to maintaining their high culinary standards and exceptional guest experiences. As a Kitchen Cook, you will be responsible for preparing hot food products with precision and efficiency. This involves accurately following proprietary recipes, ensuring consistent quality and portion sizes, and adhering to the company’s strict food preparation standards. Your duties will extend to preparing ingredients before cooking, plating dishes aesthetically with appropriate garnishes, and keeping your work environment clean and sanitary to meet health and safety regulations. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about cooking, dedicated to quality, and seeking a daytime work schedule that allows for personal time in the evenings. The restaurant group values team members who can communicate effectively across departments, embody a collaborative spirit, and commit to the Ruby Standards that set their food and service apart.
Working as a member of the Ruby Krewe means embracing the culture of quality and care that defines Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group. Candidates must be capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing physically demanding tasks such as bending and reaching in the kitchen. A minimum of one year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking is required, ensuring that members are skilled and confident in a fast-paced culinary environment. The company offers competitive benefits such as medical and dental insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement, making it an attractive workplace for culinary professionals.
