Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to lift 50 lbs or more
  • capacity to use knives and small equipment safely
  • physical ability to stand, bend, and perform manual food preparation tasks
  • willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • adherence to all health and safety regulations
  • ability to communicate effectively with team members

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow detailed prep sheets and instructions
  • proficiency in using kitchen tools and equipment safely
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • physical stamina to lift heavy items and stand for prolonged periods

Job Duties

  • Prepare food to specifications before and during unit operations
  • comply with portion sizes and quality standards
  • label, date, and wrap food products by ServSafe procedures
  • communicate with the chef for instructions or training
  • uphold all health codes and sanitation regulations
  • follow safety, security, and kitchen procedures
  • maintain food, utensils, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
  • perform opening, closing, and side work duties
  • conduct end-of-day inventory according to guidelines
