Job Description

Geronimo Hospitality Group is a dynamic and innovative company that stands out in the hospitality industry as a collection of award-winning boutique hotels, restaurants, and clubs. With a strong reputation for rejecting the status quo and pushing boundaries, Geronimo Hospitality Group offers a vibrant and energetic work environment filled with passionate professionals committed to creating unique and memorable experiences for guests. The company’s philosophy is not just about raising the bar but being the bar, and they pride themselves on crafting destinations that guests love to visit rather than mere pit stops.

Geronimo Hospitality Group’s property, truk't, located in the heart of downtown Beloit, offers a bold and worldly culinary experience with flavors that defy convention. The restaurant is known for its Baja fish tacos, house-made corn tortillas, and an extensive selection of over 100 global tequilas and whiskeys. The team at truk't embraces the philosophy of being "properly unproper," encouraging creativity and originality in how they serve and present food and drinks.

This position is for a part-time Prep Cook at truk't, offering an hourly wage of $16.00 to $17.00. This role is integral to the kitchen team and involves preparing and cooking food items according to standardized recipes while adhering to strict food safety guidelines and procedures. The position requires precision, consistency, and a commitment to quality to ensure every guest enjoys a delicious and safe dining experience.

As a Prep Cook at Geronimo Hospitality Group, you will engage in a variety of food preparation tasks including washing, peeling, cutting, grilling, baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, carving, and portioning foods. You will be responsible for measuring and mixing ingredients accurately, reviewing recipe modifications with the Executive Chef, and ensuring all food items meet established quality standards through proper taste testing and temperature checks.

Your role also extends beyond simply cooking; you will maintain a clean and organized workspace, date all food containers, rotate perishables properly, and adhere to all sanitary protocols. The company values team members who are eager to learn, capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to support the team in delivering exceptional guest experiences are key traits for success in this position.

Geronimo Hospitality Group believes in rewarding talent and hard work. Employees enjoy a range of benefits including employee discounts, paid time off, comprehensive training and development opportunities, 401K plans, medical and pet insurance coverage, as well as access to 24/7 online care. The company encourages a competitive spirit and provides an environment where you can build your own future while contributing to a team that truly values your voice and effort.

Joining Geronimo Hospitality Group means becoming part of a culture that pushes boundaries every day and prioritizes creating lasting impressions through excellent service and food. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about the culinary arts and eager to grow professionally in a supportive and innovative hospitality group.
