Thanksgiving Point seeks to enhance its culinary team with the addition of a part-time Prep Cook for the Tower Deli & Grill. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the kitchen as it involves preparing fresh ingredients and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the food prep area. The Prep Cook will be responsible for essential duties such as slicing deli meats and cheeses, washing and chopping produce, portioning ingredients, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the workspace. The position requires attention to detail and an efficient approach to keep up with prep needs during service.
This part-time role offers scheduled shifts Monday through Saturday, including some holidays, with availability in both morning and afternoon periods from 9 AM to 4 PM and 4 PM to 10 PM. Job Duties
- Slice deli meats and cheese using commercial slicers
- wash, chop, and portion vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients
- prepare and label ingredients for use on the line
- maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep area
- assist with basic kitchen tasks as needed, including stocking stations and restocking prep items during service
- follow all food safety and handling procedures
- work efficiently and consistently to keep up with prep needs
- communicate with cooks and supervisors to stay on top of daily prep tasks
- other duties as assigned
