Job Requirements
- Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives
- Able to stand for the entire workday
- Able to move about on foot to accomplish tasks
- Bend lift carry reach or extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently
- Maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with federal state and local standards
- Ability to work in a stressful fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Culinary school training preferred
- Experience as a prep cook in a fast-casual or casual dining environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow verbal instructions in English
- Time management skills
- Attention to detail and sanitation rules
- Availability to work shifts during weekends and evenings
Job Duties
- Acts as a representative of Tapville's core values
- Setting up and sanitizing workstations
- Following prep lists created by chefs
- Measuring ingredients and seasonings and preparing cooking ingredients to be used in the cooking process
- Preparing simple dishes such as entrees or salads
- Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible
- Assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise
