Job Requirements

  • Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives
  • Able to stand for the entire workday
  • Able to move about on foot to accomplish tasks
  • Bend lift carry reach or extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently
  • Maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with federal state and local standards
  • Ability to work in a stressful fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary school training preferred
  • Experience as a prep cook in a fast-casual or casual dining environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions in English
  • Time management skills
  • Attention to detail and sanitation rules
  • Availability to work shifts during weekends and evenings

Job Duties

  • Acts as a representative of Tapville's core values
  • Setting up and sanitizing workstations
  • Following prep lists created by chefs
  • Measuring ingredients and seasonings and preparing cooking ingredients to be used in the cooking process
  • Preparing simple dishes such as entrees or salads
  • Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible
  • Assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise
