Delaware North is currently hiring full-time and part-time Prep Cooks to join the team at Paseo. This position offers an hourly rate of $21.00 and provides an excellent opportunity for individuals excited to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Prep Cooks at Paseo play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen team by preparing food items according to established quality standards and departmental policies. Job Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets
  • Ability to use kitchen tools safely knives and small equipment ware
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Prior food preparation experience preferred
  • No high school diploma or GED required
  • Frequent standing and walking for the entire length of the shift
  • Manual dexterity is sufficient to chop mix blend and whip a variety of foods and liquids
  • Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders
  • Ability to frequently immerse hands in water
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Retrieve storage items necessary and measure portion and prepare all food items complying with all quality standards department rules policies and procedures
  • Communicate with the Chef for any special instructions or training
  • Maintain food utensils and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
  • Perform opening closing and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines
  • Follow all safety security kitchen and ServSafe procedures upholding all health codes and sanitation regulations
