Job Requirements

  • Previous catering experience preferred but not required
  • Open availability including some weekends
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with food preparation
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • Willingness to learn and be trained
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work part time hours

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous catering or food preparation experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and production schedules accurately
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Basic kitchen equipment operation skills

Job Duties

  • Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the chef
  • Prepare food items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
  • Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
  • Taste completed meals to ensure quality
  • Operate and clean kitchen equipment according to departmental procedures
  • Store, label, and date all food items following policy
  • Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety
  • Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
  • Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Resolve customer concerns
  • Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
