Job Description

Legends Global is a leading global partner to the world’s most prestigious live events, world-renowned venues, and iconic brands. As a comprehensive service provider, Legends Global offers a seamless, integrated suite of premium services designed to keep its partners prominent and successful in delivering unforgettable guest experiences. Operating across a vast network of over 450 venues globally, Legends Global manages and supports approximately 20,000 events each year, entertaining an audience of over 165 million guests. Their expertise spans multiple facets of event and venue management including consulting and feasibility studies, ownership representation, sales and marketing partnerships, venue operations, hospitality services, merchandise, and content and booking management. This breadth of knowledge and operational excellence sets Legends Global apart as a leader in the live event industry.

Founded on a culture of respect, collaboration, and bold ambition, Legends Global fosters an inclusive and dynamic work environment where team members are encouraged to be authentic, make meaningful contributions, and advance their careers. The company’s philosophy centers on unity, accountability, and continuous pursuit of excellence, making it a place where each win is celebrated as a collective achievement. As part of this vibrant culture, employees are empowered to grow and thrive, contributing to the success of an industry-leading organization that consistently delivers world-class experiences.

The role of Prep Cook at Legends Global is a hands-on, part-time position within the Food and Beverage department, reporting directly to the Executive Chef. This hourly, non-exempt position plays a critical role in supporting the preparation and production of hot and cold food items, adhering strictly to established quality standards and food safety procedures set forth by the Food and Beverage Director and Executive Chef. A Prep Cook is essential in maintaining organized and sanitary workstations, labeling and storing food items correctly, and assisting with the preparation of vegetables, baked goods, salads, and proteins. The role is fundamental in minimizing food waste by controlling overage and usage, following approved recipes, and meeting production standards necessary for concessions and live events.

This position demands a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong organizational skills and discipline to maintain health and safety standards rigorously. Prep Cooks must demonstrate proficiency in mathematics for measuring ingredients accurately and have a solid understanding of kitchen operations, equipment, and sanitation practices. As a frontline team member, excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude are essential, as well as the physical ability to meet the demands of the job, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working in various temperature conditions within the kitchen.

Legends Global offers an engaging workplace located on-site at the Wilmington Convention Center, within a kitchen setting free from substantial adverse conditions beyond those typical of a food service environment. This role requires flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support the dynamic schedule of events. The company encourages diversity and is committed to equal employment opportunities for all individuals, including women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and protected veterans.

Joining Legends Global as a Prep Cook is an opportunity to be part of a world-class team delivering exceptional live event experiences while growing professionally in a supportive and inclusive environment. The role provides a platform not only to develop culinary skills but also to contribute directly to the success of a global leader in event and venue services, where every team member’s contribution is valued and recognized.
