Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- culinary experience
- ability to work flexible and long hours
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
- ability to stand for entire shifts
- tolerance to temperature variations in kitchen environment
- knowledge of menu preparation and food safety standards

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in hotel or related field preferred
- culinary experience required
- flexible to work long hours
- ability to perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
- ability to stand for entire shift
- ability to withstand hot and cold temperature variations
- thorough knowledge of menus and required preparation according to hotel standards
- proficiency in charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sauté, braising, roasting, and par-cooking cooking techniques
- knowledge of herbs and spices and proper use
Job Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas
- complete necessary food and station preparation prior to restaurant opening to ensure prompt and efficient guest service during operating hours
- prepare and display buffet food items according to hotel standards
- recognize quality standards in fresh vegetables, fish, dairy, and meat products
- maintain clean and sanitary environment with proper handling, storage, and sanitation
- prepare food for banquets according to banquet event orders
- prepare and service food for employee cafeteria as specified
- prepare all foods following hotel standard recipes and chef directions
- breakdown buffets and kitchen line, storing food and equipment properly after meal periods
- work banquet food station as scheduled
- know location and operation of all fire extinguishing equipment
- practice safe work habits to avoid injury
- use production charts as per hotel standards
- support any kitchen position needing assistance
- follow all health department and company food safety regulations
- operate and maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment
- maintain a clean-as-you-go policy
- assist in storage and rotation of food items per hotel procedures
- sign keys out and back in under supervision when needed
