Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a high-volume kitchen environment advantageous
- strong technical cooking skills including various cooking methods
- proficiency in knife handling and food preparation techniques
- ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain portion control
- excellent time management and ability to work under pressure
- strong teamwork and communication skills
- knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation best practices
Job Duties
- perform cooking techniques including sauté, grill, fry, bake, and roast
- operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
- execute basic to advanced knife skills such as slicing, chopping, mincing, julienning, and dicing
- follow standardized recipes and adhere to portion control guidelines
- read and execute food orders accurately and promptly
- ensure timely food service and notify leadership of delays
- clean and organize kitchen, walk-in coolers, and equipment
- properly store food and chemicals following labeling and temperature guidelines
- clean and breakdown workstation and secure kitchen at closing
- coordinate with dishwashers and perform dishwashing/cleaning as needed
- follow company service basics, policies, safety and security procedures
- report accidents or unsafe conditions promptly
- perform other duties as assigned
