Job Requirements

  • minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to perform multiple cooking techniques
  • experience with commercial kitchen equipment
  • capability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

  • basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in a high-volume kitchen environment advantageous
  • strong technical cooking skills including various cooking methods
  • proficiency in knife handling and food preparation techniques
  • ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain portion control
  • excellent time management and ability to work under pressure
  • strong teamwork and communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation best practices

Job Duties

  • perform cooking techniques including sauté, grill, fry, bake, and roast
  • operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
  • execute basic to advanced knife skills such as slicing, chopping, mincing, julienning, and dicing
  • follow standardized recipes and adhere to portion control guidelines
  • read and execute food orders accurately and promptly
  • ensure timely food service and notify leadership of delays
  • clean and organize kitchen, walk-in coolers, and equipment
  • properly store food and chemicals following labeling and temperature guidelines
  • clean and breakdown workstation and secure kitchen at closing
  • coordinate with dishwashers and perform dishwashing/cleaning as needed
  • follow company service basics, policies, safety and security procedures
  • report accidents or unsafe conditions promptly
  • perform other duties as assigned
