Delaware North Sportservice is proud to present a dynamic opportunity for individuals seeking seasonal employment as a Prep Cook at the Miami Freedom Park located in Miami, Florida. Delaware North Sportservice is a prominent hospitality and food service provider known for delivering exceptional culinary experiences across various venues, including sports arenas, entertainment destinations, and national parks. This position will be part of the team at Miami Freedom Park, a soon-to-open state-of-the-art soccer stadium and entertainment complex scheduled to debut in 2026 as the home of Inter Miami CF. This venue will not only host world-class soccer matches but also concerts and live entertainment throughout the year, making it a vibrant hub of activity and an exciting place to work. Delaware North will oversee the concessions and premium food and beverage services at the stadium, elevating classic stadium fare with innovative culinary offerings that reflect Miami’s rich and vibrant cultural tapestry.

As a seasonal Prep Cook at Miami Freedom Park, you will play a vital role in the fast-paced kitchen environment, preparing food with precision according to established specifications and ensuring quality and consistency are maintained throughout operations. This position requires the ability to coordinate multiple orders efficiently, communicate effectively with chefs and kitchen staff, and uphold all health and safety standards critical to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. The role entails opening, closing, and side work duties, including inventory management and compliance with all sanitation and portion control guidelines. Delaware North offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour for this role. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs, as well as stand and walk for the entire length of the shift, possibly in a confined space
  • Must have manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids, and operate kitchen equipment
  • Must be able to work days, evenings, holidays, weekends, and events
  • Must be exposed to variable temperatures, frequently immersing hands in water

Job Qualifications

  • No experience or diploma required
  • Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and follow instructions
  • Capacity to use kitchen tools safely, including knives and small equipment ware

Job Duties

  • Prepare food to specifications before and during unit operations, complying with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures, and label, date, and wrap food products in accordance with ServSafe procedures
  • Communicate with the chef for any instructions or training
  • Uphold all health codes and sanitation regulations and follow all safety, security, and kitchen procedures
  • Maintain food, utensils, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory in accordance with guidelines
