Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year of relevant kitchen experience
  • availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • valid Food Handler's Card or willingness to obtain during training
  • physical capability to perform kitchen duties
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience as a prep cook in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
  • open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • strong communication skills for effective collaboration
  • ability to memorize and follow recipes and accurately measure ingredients
  • demonstrated skill in knife handling and proficiency with kitchen equipment
  • knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices
  • valid Food Handler's Card or willingness to obtain during training
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and kneel for duration of shift
  • ability to prioritize tasks and maintain composure under pressure

Job Duties

  • Prepare food according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
  • follow safety protocols and kitchen practices
  • set up and maintain an organized, clean kitchen station
  • properly handle, store, and rotate ingredients using FIFO
  • operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • complete prep lists and kitchen checklists before service
  • execute cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment
  • communicate with manager at shift start and end to ensure smooth operations
  • perform additional tasks as required to ensure efficient kitchen functionality
