The current opportunity is for a Prep Cook position at the New Belgium Brewing Restaurant located within Denver International Airport. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 1 year of relevant kitchen experience
- availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- valid Food Handler's Card or willingness to obtain during training
- physical capability to perform kitchen duties
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as a prep cook in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
- open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- strong communication skills for effective collaboration
- ability to memorize and follow recipes and accurately measure ingredients
- demonstrated skill in knife handling and proficiency with kitchen equipment
- knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices
- valid Food Handler's Card or willingness to obtain during training
- ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and kneel for duration of shift
- ability to prioritize tasks and maintain composure under pressure
Job Duties
- Prepare food according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
- follow safety protocols and kitchen practices
- set up and maintain an organized, clean kitchen station
- properly handle, store, and rotate ingredients using FIFO
- operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- complete prep lists and kitchen checklists before service
- execute cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment
- communicate with manager at shift start and end to ensure smooth operations
- perform additional tasks as required to ensure efficient kitchen functionality
