Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of experience working as a prep cook in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid Food Handler's Card or willingness to obtain
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and kneel for extended periods
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and food safety standards
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Job Qualifications
- One or more years of experience as a prep cook in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
- Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork
- Ability to memorize and follow recipes accurately and adhere to food prep guidelines
- Skill in knife handling and proficiency with kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices
- Valid Food Handler's Card or willingness to obtain during training

Job Duties
- Prepare food according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
- Follow safety protocols and kitchen practices to ensure a safe working environment
- Set up and maintain an organized, clean kitchen station daily, ensuring all ingredients, tools, and equipment are stocked and ready for service
- Properly handle, store, and rotate ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out) to maintain quality and freshness
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning
- Complete prep lists and other kitchen checklists before service begins
- Execute cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment
- Communicate with the manager at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure smooth operations
- Perform any other tasks required to ensure kitchen efficiency
