The role of a Prep Cook at Legends and ASM Global is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of food preparation and service during live events and venue operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play an essential part in delivering excellent service to customers attending various events or visiting concession stands. Your responsibilities will include managing food and beverage preparation with meticulous attention to quality, safety, and presentation standards.

In this position, you will strictly follow approved recipes and adhere to production standards set by SAVOR, the company’s food and beverage service operations. Your duties will involve measuring ingredients and seasonings with precision, washing, cutting, and preparing fresh fruits, vegetables, and salads, as well as preparing and decorating dessert items. Additionally, you will be responsible for the safe handling and preparation of proteins such as beef, poultry, and seafood, ensuring proper storage and food safety. Monitoring cooking stocks, sauces, and dressings, as well as accurately testing food temperatures, will be part of your routine tasks.

The Prep Cook position is hourly and non-exempt with compensation ranging between $19 and $21 per hour, commensurate with experience. The role requires the ability to work on-site under physically demanding conditions, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 months of food service experience in a commercial or restaurant kitchen environment
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Proficiency in mathematics to assess dry and liquid weights and measurements
  • Ability to focus with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a confined environment with hot and cold temperatures for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to maintain proper grooming and dress code standards for the kitchen
  • Knowledge of foodservice health and safety standards

Job Qualifications
