Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a food preparation or cooking role preferred
Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
Availability for full-time or part-time shifts

Job Qualifications

Knowledge of food service regulations
Ability to skillfully use hand tools or machines needed for the position
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks
Ability to lift, carry, or pull heavy objects
Ability to stand for extended periods
Willingness to learn new cooking techniques and menu items

Job Duties

Efficiently prepares food items as ordered
Exercises food safety and kitchen sanitation practices
Weighs, measures, and mixes ingredients according to recipes
Properly prepares meat, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients
Stays ahead of orders by anticipating demand
Maintains cleanliness and working order of work area, tools, equipment, and supplies
Prepares and maintains the line and par levels as required
Keeps walk-in cooler/freezer organized
Assists with inventory temperature logs and waste logs
